BANCL190 for ‘Non-Centrally’ Located reinforcing steel

In masonry wall construction where the reinforcing steel is required to have 20mm of grout cover on the tension face of the wall, such as in a retaining wall, the BANCL190 Blockaid locates the horizontal reinforcing steel in the correct position during the wall construction. Once the block laying is completed, the vertical reinforcing steel bars can be inserted through the Blockaid in the correct location. Blockaid thereby ensures the location of the reinforcement in the wall meets the engineering specification.
The BANCL190 is also used to align Control Joint dowels.

BACL190 for ‘Centrally’ Located reinforcing steel

In wall construction where the reinforcing steel is required to be located centrally in the wall, such as in factory walls, the BACL190 Blockaid locates the horizontal reinforcing steel in the correct position during the wall construction. Once the block laying is completed, the vertical reinforcing steel bars can be inserted through the Blockaid in the correct central location. Blockaid thereby ensures the location of the reinforcement in
the wall meets the engineering specification.
