Blockaid eliminates the need to lap and tie-off the vertical bars during the construction which saves lifting the blocks over the vertical steel when laying every course, because with Blockaid locating the horizontal steel during the construction, the full height vertical bars can be inserted through the vertically aligned Blockaids after the top course is laid, with Blockaid capturing the vertical steel in the correct location.
Using Blockaid on high quality construction sites therefore eliminates the need to lap bars on the vertical steel which reduces the cost of steel. In most projects where exact placement of steel is required, by using Blockaid, it is no longer necessary to engage a steel fixer to accurately locate the steel during the construction.
