The amendment to AS3700 will include a requirement to use Reinforcement Positioners in Reinforced Masonry to accurately position and secure the horizontal and vertical reinforcement prior to core filling, to ensure reinforcement achieves compliance.

Standards Australia have advised the release of the draft of AS3700 for public comment is scheduled for mid-July 2025 and the publication of the revised Standard is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
